Hearsay: The Legal Podcast - free for law students!


Hearsay The Legal Podcast combines an interview-format podcast with e-learning multimedia content to enable lawyers to obtain their CPD points in a more convenient and flexible way (i.e. they can listen to the podcast anywhere, anytime). Although Hearsay is a paid service for lawyers, it is FREE for law students.


Law students can sign up for free by uploading a copy of their student card - it takes around 1 minute to sign-up.


We have an impressive array of speakers including:

  1. The Hon Justice Lucy McCallum, Episode 1 - The View from the Bench - Tips for Aspiring Advocates;

  2. OH&S mastermind & Managing Partner of Clyde & Co Michael Tooma, Episode 2 - WHS - What about Mental Health?;

  3. former High Court justice The Hon Michael Kirby, Episode 29 - The Moment of Decision: How Judges Judge;

  4. Australia's first High School lawyers, Vincent Shin and Nadia Baldassi-Winderlich from West Justice Community Legal Centre, Episode 32 - CLC-ing it, from their perspective; and

  5. University of Sydney Law School Professor Jason Harris, Episode 9 - The Voluntary Administration Regime and Episode 27 - At the Edge of the Insolvency Cliff - The new small business restructuring process.

In addition to the above, there are many specialised lawyers (both in private practice and in-house), barristers, consultants and academics. The topics range from discussions on animal law, insolvency law, advocacy tips, succession law, tax law, as well as discussion around catfishing and trolling.
